Anne-Laure Vandeputte

Anne-Laure Vandeputte gra­du­a­ted as an actor from the Antwerp Conservatory in 2016. Since gra­du­a­ting, she has been acti­ve­ly wor­king as a per­for­mer. She has per­for­med with com­pa­nies and direc­tors such as SKaGeN (Closer), de Roovers (Onschuld), FC Bergman (JR), Lies Pauwels (Truth or Dare, Britney or Goofy, Nacht und Nebel, Jesus Christ or Superstar), Zuidpool (War of the Beasts and the Animals) and took on the role of Dulle Griet in Lisaboa Houbrechts’ pro­duc­ti­on Bruegel.

She is also acti­ve as a cre­a­tor. During her stu­dies at the con­ser­va­to­ry, she cre­a­ted the per­for­man­ces Ik ben echt want ik heb rib­ben (I am real becau­se I have ribs) and Oerhoer (Primordial Whore). She cre­a­ted her gra­du­a­ti­on per­for­man­ce Gif (Poison) together with Michael Vergauwen. In 2019, her per­for­man­ce Millennialism pre­mie­red at Monty Kultuurfaktorij in Antwerp. She also assisted in direc­ting Wie is Bang (Who is Afraid), a per­for­man­ce by NTGent writ­ten by Tom Lanoye. In 2020, she took on the final direc­ti­on of ★★★★☆ vier ster­ren, the new per­for­man­ce by Collectief Herman, which will pre­mie­re at the Love at first Sight fes­ti­val. In 2021, she cre­a­ted a per­for­man­ce in Berlin with The Berlin Stripper Collective, which pre­mie­red at Theater am Kurfürstendamm. Since 2021, Anne-Laure has been wor­king on the pro­ject My Body as a Commodity, an artis­tic inves­ti­ga­ti­on into the simi­la­ri­ties bet­ween the job of a per­for­mer and that of a sex wor­ker.

In addi­ti­on to her work in the­a­ter, Anne-Laure has also play­ed a num­ber of roles on came­ra. She has appe­a­red in TV series such as Bathroom Stories, Grenslanders, De Bende van Jan de Lichte, and Red Light, as well as the short films Klette, Copain, and All of Us. She is also a mem­ber of the artis­tic coun­cil of the Acting pro­gram at the Conservatory in Antwerp, a school whe­re she also tea­ches acting.
