We search for phy­si­cal ways of how to cre­a­te and prac­ti­ce kins­hip with dif­fe­rent ani­mals, spe­cies and natu­re spi­rits. We com­bi­ne light‑, sound- and video-design to dif­fe­rent sty­les and ways of moving and per­for­ming. Nightfall the edge of forest com­bi­nes the­mes rela­ted to uncon­scious, forest, natu­re, eco­sys­tems / sys­tem the­o­ries and light/​darkness, as well as local research into Kainuu area forests and Finnish forest mytho­lo­gy. We research both forest tra­di­ti­ons and con­tem­po­ra­ry cho­re­o­grap­hy cri­ti­cally and as flexi­ble and open enti­ties to see how they can com­bi­ne in a per­for­man­ce. We also explo­re repe­ti­ti­on and its pos­si­bi­li­ties and limits as dra­ma­tur­gi­cal strategy.
