This solo is an inti­ma­te exca­va­ti­on into the body of Emma Perez.

The body beco­mes an archae­o­lo­gi­cal site, a field of research whe­re invi­si­ble memo­ries, inheri­ted gestu­res, and sha­red silen­ces converge.


Through the cho­re­o­grap­hic wri­ting of Sophia Rodriguez, Emma Perez explo­res what our bodies car­ry uncon­scious­ly — what is pas­sed on, era­sed, or never chosen.

A solo that evo­kes absen­ce as living mat­ter, sifting through the unseen in search of mag­ne­tic tra­ces, and invi­ting us — for the span of an appa­ri­ti­on — to wel­co­me our own ghosts.


This pie­ce is part of SIX/SIX, a pro­ject cele­bra­ting per­for­mers, whe­re six emer­ging artists were invi­ted to cre­a­te a solo in col­la­bo­ra­ti­on with a cho­re­o­grap­her or direc­tor of their choice.
