ANALBUM is a new music project by Maxime Dreesen, developed under his alter ego Tabooboo. During the residency, work will be done on the first songs and performative forms of a series of songs that move between concert, cabaret, and performance.
Baroque pop, EDM, jazz, and ballads come together with lyrics, voice, and movement in a playful and camp approach to music. Themes such as desire, taboo, and identity form the starting point. Openings, holes, and spaces appear as portals to intimacy, pleasure, and shared fantasies.
The residency offers space to develop new songs, performative scenes, and musical structures that will later form part of the larger project ANALBUM.
