The Silencing

The Silencing onder­zoekt de rela­tie tus­sen col­lec­tie­ve aan­dachts­prak­tij­ken en een natuur die zich in een pro­ces van zwij­gen bevindt. Of beter gezegd, het onder­zoekt de ver­ha­len die wij — als men­sen — cre­ë­ren rond de natuur en de gelui­den die we beslui­ten eruit te selec­te­ren. Door mid­del van een per­for­ma­tie­ve en par­ti­ci­pa­tie­ve stra­te­gie wil The Silencing het publiek betrek­ken bij een col­lec­tie­ve reflec­tie: hoe kun­nen we col­lec­tief de gelui­den bena­de­ren van een wereld die aan het ver­stom­men is? Hoe kun­nen we ons een toe­komst voor­stel­len voor­bij die gelui­den? Voor dit pro­ject werkt David samen met dra­ma­tur­ge Simone Basani en geluids­kun­ste­naar Pali Meursault.
