Op zoek naar het ultie­me bewijs dat het idee van een objec­tie­ve wer­ke­lijk­heid slechts een illu­sie is, duikt Diederik Peeters diep in de archie­ven van de psy­chi­a­trie en neu­ro­lo­gie. Doorheen de voor­stel­ling loodsts hij ons langs de dun­ne lijn tus­sen rede en waan­zin, rea­li­teit en ver­beel­ding, waar­ne­ming en illu­sie. Welke wer­ke­lijk­heid delen we écht – en wie bepaalt wel­ke wer­ke­lijk­he­den als ​‘patho­lo­gisch’ wor­den bestem­peld? Confabulations nodigt ons uit om onze idee­ën over men­ta­le gezond­heid te her­zien, en zet het begrip van een vas­te, abso­lu­te rea­li­teit op los­se schroe­ven. Op scè­ne met Peeters: Marcos Simões, Grégoire Blanc en Ode Windels. Christoph Hefti en Sofie Durnez ont­wier­pen kleur­rij­ke stof­fen, Alice Spenle roept klank­gees­ten op, en Henri-Emmanuel Doublier zet ze in het licht.
