Veroline Vanderbeek
Veroline Vanderbeek (°1995) created the theatre piece ‘Het groeien van de bomen’ (Monty, nona kunstencentrum), music theatre production ‘ROGGBIV’ (hetpaleis) and ‘How would you like your coffee, Sir?’ (Kavka summer studios). As a performer, she has collaborated with Barbara T’Jonck, Myriam Van Imschoot, Pieter De Buysser and SOCHA. She holds a master’s degree in acting from the Royal Antwerp Conservatoire and studied sociology at KU Leuven. She is also active in film and will soon appear in Pieter Solta’s ‘Omhelzing op de Eiermarkt’. In 2020, she founded Bibiana as an artistic structure and atelier for her theatre work. She is currently developing ‘Mayken’, a music theatre piece about Mayken Verhulst, forgotten 16th century female painter and mentor of Pieter Bruegel.
