Pierre-Philippe Hofmann

Pierre-Philippe Hofmann explores the complexity of the world through a practice rooted in landscape, walking, and installation. His work, situated between conceptual tradition and phenomenological experience, seeks to make visible the multiple layers of our environment. The long-term project Portrait of a Landscape embodies this search for a systemic reading of the world. He places strong emphasis on collective projects and pluridisciplinarity: after twenty years as a video artist in theatre and opera, he collaborated with Les Ballets C de la B, Alain Platel, and Berlinde De Bruyckere for nicht schlafen (2017). With Ad Libitum, he stages reality alongside Mathias Domahidy.

He is currently developing a transdisciplinary project combining choreography and landscape.
