Audrey Apers (°1991) stu­died at the Royal Ballet School Antwerp and then obtai­ned her Bachelor of Modern Theatre Dance at the Amsterdam School of the Arts. From 2013 to 2017, she dan­ced with SALLY Dansgezelschap Maastricht, LeineRoebana Amsterdam and Arno Schuitemaker. In 2017, she moved to Brussels and wor­ked as a per­for­mer in the pro­duc­ti­on Democracy in America by Romeo Castellucci at the Singel in Antwerp. For the peri­od 2018 – 2020, she was artist in resi­den­ce at SALLY Dance Company Maastricht’s Dance Lab pro­gram­me for young artis­tic devel­op­ment. There she cre­a­ted 3 dif­fe­rent works; Daydream Space, Remote and Labour of Love that tour­ed through various the­a­tres in the Netherlands.

Audrey obtai­ned her Masters in Theatre Directing from RITCS Erasmushogeschool Brussels in 2023. During her mas­ter’s pro­gram­me, Audrey cre­a­ted the per­for­man­ce Gravity is a Regime and in June 2023 she pre­sen­ted her gra­du­a­ti­on per­for­man­ce Vulcanize Me at the Kaaistudio’s and at PILAR Brussels. The per­for­man­ce is part of the Young Work selec­ti­on of Theater aan Zee 2024 and Amsterdam Fringe 2024. For the peri­od 2023 to 2025, she is one of the selec­ted artists of the Platform in the Making tra­jec­to­ry. In this con­text, she shows work-in-pro­gress of her new cre­a­ti­on Under Your Spell that will pre­mie­re in spring 2026. Audrey has also been acti­ve as a guest lec­tu­rer at RITCS sin­ce gra­du­a­ti­on.
