FI FI FILE is a visual performance in which players, music, and a living scenography meet amid an eternal traffic jam.

Two performers are stuck on the highway, in their car, head and body.
Animistically we proceed. Trees, objects, people, fungi belong to the same vibration, the same troop, the same group.

FI FI FILE is driven by the organisms around us.
FI FI FILE
is about the drudgery and potency that boredom brings, about repressed desires, anger, and violence. The car is an empty space that at most allows for a kind of individual enjoyment. In that safe environment, we are allowed to shout at the other, and what are we really angry about?

FI FI FILE plays with caricatures, stereotyping, alienation, humor in discomfort. The mundane, banal, pop culture, vehicular languages, actions are the breeding ground for a visual universe in which dream and reality meet in the transit zone of a car, in an associative tick-tock world. A highway, a conflict on the track. An attempt to embrace ourselves and the Other.

Between randomness and meaning, everything vibrates, everything is now. We have lost the circles, we are separated through our skin. We want to go home and travel farther away hoping to reach a home.
In traffic jams, we accept loss.
Are there other, non-human ways to become very close?

Inspired by an underground life, FI FI FILE explores the potential of this togetherness.

FI FI FILE is an ode to the chaos in which we desperately want to see a line.
