Femke Gyselinck & europalia georgia & GRIP
Europalia invited Georgian electronic artist Anushka Chkheidze and Belgian dancer and choreographer Femke Gyselinck for a new creation. Femke’s work seeks to relate expressive, unspectacular movements closely to live music in combination with a bold but humble performativity. Anushka Chkheidze has been steadily rising the last few years, her sound evolving through the styles as she explores forms of ambient, IDM, and more.
Together they will experiment how the danced vocabulary of Femke and Anushka’s translation of polyphony can create a world of their own. Anushka Chkheidze is currently in the Master in Music program in Utrecht.
