
Zoltán Vakulya
Zoltan is a Brussels based dancer and choreographer born in Hungary, Budapest.
He has studied theatre, choreography and dance at the Keleti Istvan Arts School, Budapest Contemporary Dance University, and in Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance.
He has been creating and co-creating several dance performances such as solo work ‘Pause’ (2012) ‘One Two Three One Two’ (2015) in collaboration with Albert Quesada, ‘Together Alone’ (2016) with LEE\VAKULYA, ’It’s time’ (2017) in collaboration with Albert Quesada,’The Passing Measures’ (2020) with LEE\VAKULYA. In 2022, Zoltan have choreographed for the dramatisation of ‘Mephisto’ (directed by Haris Pasovic) in the National Theater of Serbia.
Zoltán has worked as an actor and director between 2002 and 2006 Merlin International Theater Budapest and other institutions in Hungary. Since 2011, he has worked with other choreographers, composers and visual artist across Europe, such as HODWORKS, MalPelo, Wim Wandekeybus, Kendell Geers, David Zambrano, Francesco Scavetta, Karl Van Welden, Benjamin Vandewalle , Albert Quesada, Vera Tussing and others.
