Parvin Saljoughi

Parvin Saljoughi comes from a back­ground in visu­al arts (bachelor’s) and cho­re­o­grap­hy (master’s), with an advan­ced mas­ter in research on art within socio-poli­ti­cal con­texts. Her work orbits around the com­plexi­ties of the body, its vul­ne­ra­bi­li­ties, its poli­tics, its invi­si­bi­li­ties. Displacement, sup­pres­sed nar­ra­ti­ves, and post­co­lo­ni­al the­o­ry are dee­ply intertwi­ned with her lived experience. 

She has been a scho­lar at IF Berlin and has col­la­bo­ra­ted with plat­forms such as Flash Art, Live Works, Bâtard, and Tashweesh. She has also par­ti­ci­pa­ted in resi­den­cies at PACT Zollverein, Mousonturm, KWP, Buda, KAAP, Beursschouwburg, workspa­ce Brussels, and Centrale Fies. Her works Make sen­se who may, I switch off and Temporarily clo­sed pre­mie­red at Beursschouwburg, whe­re a new pie­ce, Feral Reverie, will debut in February 2026. She has wor­ked with artists inclu­ding Wen Hui, Serafine1369, Hooman Sharifi, Claudia Castellucci, among others. In 2021, she inter­ned with Meg Stuart/​Damaged Goods. 

Parvin star­ted in Tehran, but now lives in Brussels, an alien in more ways than one.
