Lieselotte De Keyzer
Lieselotte De Keyzer (°1987) graduated in 2013 with a Master’s degree in drama from KASK in Ghent. Within her collective De polen (with Bosse Provoost, Kobe Chielens, and Geert Belpaeme), she contributed to the performances Herberg (2015) and The Act of Dying (2017), which focused on image, movement, sound, and rhythm.
She worked for many years in close collaboration as a performer and creator with Tibaldus on the productions: Paard: een opera (2010), Yvonne, Prinses van Bourgondië (2016), Het Huwelijk (2018), Gekken & Specialisten (2020), and Operette (2021). They performed on stages in Flanders and across Europe, such as Toneelhuis, Kaaitheater, De Grote Post, Campo, 30CC, Théâtre de la Bastille in Paris, Hebbel am Ufer in Berlin, and at festivals including Theater Aan Zee, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Fast Forward in Dresden, and Boulevard in Den Bosch.
In 2019 she participated in Tribunal by BRONKS & Ballet Dommage (Maxim Storms and Katrien Valckenaers). In 2021 she created Ho(m)me with Tina Heylen and Eva Binon for theater FroeFroe, followed by TOUDOU (2023), which will continue touring in 2024 – 2025.
Recently, Lieselotte created De Vogels together with Kobe Chielens, Hans Mortelmans, Louise Bergez, and Sibran Sampers. This was the first work she made under her own name since her master’s thesis Report of The Party And The Guests (2012). The production was performed at, among others, Oerol and TAZ ’24.
Starting in 2026, Lieselotte will continue her research on Clarice Lispector.
