Furkan Ak (°1992, TR-BE) is an actor, direc­tor, and wri­ter. He gra­du­a­ted with a BFA in Acting from Istanbul Yeditepe University in 2016 and MA in Drama Directing-Writing from RITCS in 2024. Alongside his acting career in TV series and the­a­tre plays sin­ce 2016, Ak’s work focu­ses on migra­to­ry haun­ting, haun­t­olo­gi­cal dra­ma­tur­gies, and the use of immersi­ve tech­no­lo­gies through prac­ti­ce as research (PaR). Ak is also wri­ting on haun­t­olo­gy and per­for­man­ce for inter­na­ti­o­nal per­for­ming arts maga­zi­nes and jour­nals. His MA per­for­man­ce, Rare Sun (2024), pre­mie­red at KVS Box in Brussels. His audio walk Ghostly Matters (2024) was pre­sen­ted in Brussel. He has par­ti­ci­pa­ted with his works in various inter­na­ti­o­nal fes­ti­vals across Turkey, Germany, Croatia, Lebanon, and Italy.
