Anna Maria Häkkinen

Anna Maria Häkkinen (she/​her) is a cho­re­o­grap­her and a per­for­mer based in Helsinki. Her recent works inclu­de MONUMENTS (Ehkä-pro­duc­ti­on 2020 – 22, Kiasma National gal­lery Finland) a col­la­bo­ra­ti­on with Erno Aaltonen and Saara Töyrylä about the monu­men­ta­li­ty of touch, Treat (Maison Louis Carré Paris, Kunsthalle Helsinki 2021) a duet with Maija Mustonen on caring touch, DANCE (Zodiak — Center for new dan­ce 2018), a sta­ge work for six dan­cers aiming to bring dan­ce back” on a per­so­nal level, and PAINI Wrestle (Zodiak, Sorbus gal­lery, Asbestos Art Space, Anti Festival 2017), a col­la­bo­ra­ti­ve work that fea­tu­red a wrest­ling club of 18 volun­teers. Anna Maria is wor­king with col­la­bo­ra­ti­ve prac­ti­ces through the­mes such as touch, com­po­si­ti­on and play.
