Anna Maria Häkkinen
Anna Maria Häkkinen (she/her) is a choreographer and a performer based in Helsinki. Her recent works include MONUMENTS (Ehkä-production 2020 – 22, Kiasma National gallery Finland) a collaboration with Erno Aaltonen and Saara Töyrylä about the monumentality of touch, Treat (Maison Louis Carré Paris, Kunsthalle Helsinki 2021) a duet with Maija Mustonen on caring touch, DANCE (Zodiak — Center for new dance 2018), a stage work for six dancers aiming to “bring dance back” on a personal level, and PAINI Wrestle (Zodiak, Sorbus gallery, Asbestos Art Space, Anti Festival 2017), a collaborative work that featured a wrestling club of 18 volunteers. Anna Maria is working with collaborative practices through themes such as touch, composition and play. She graduated with a MA in choreography (2012) from the University of the Arts Theatre Academy Helsinki. www.annamariahakkinen.com
