La Noche de Aparición is a performance by Désirée 0100 & Lulu Muñoz that combines storytelling, clowning, and dance. Inspired by true Mexican folk tales, this performance brings three different stories together in one evening: La Procesión de los Muertos, Los Narcosatánicos, and La Llorona.
The performance explores themes such as loneliness, ghosts, missing persons, homesickness, and social gatherings.
La Noche de Aparición is a reflection on popular culture, entertainment, and the horror genre. For Lulu and Désirée, this work also represents a process of reinterpreting their journey as migrant artists, in which they try to reconcile different elements from their countries of birth (Colombia and Mexico) with their new home in Belgium.
